Eliza Margaret McNally was born in County Antrim, Ireland in about 1863. Her family emigrated to the US where she was to grow up and become the first female serial killer in American history. Paul Halliday was her last husband, and the last of her husbands to die at her hand, though certainly not the last person to do so. I am still researching this fascinating woman who lived for a time right here in my own village, Burlingham, N.Y., in hopes of eventually writing a novel about her.
